Watch: Rams QB Matthew Stafford throws 62-yard TD to WR Cooper Kupp

Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford and wide receiver Cooper Kupp showed why they're still one of the most potent passing combinations in the NFL.

Against the Washington Commanders, Stafford threw a 62-yard TD to Kupp, giving the Rams a 20-0 lead with 14:07 remaining in the third quarter.

Kupp missed four games after he suffered a hamstring injury in the offseason. Rookie Puka Nacua emerged as the team's No. 1 wideout during his absence. Through 13 games, the fifth-round pick out of BYU has recorded 83 receptions for 1,113 yards and four TDs.

However, Kupp still has an important role. In nine games, he has logged 41 receptions for 547 yards and three TDs.

Regardless, the Rams (6-7) need more big plays from their passing offense to make an improbable postseason push. The New York Times simulator notes they have a 44 percent chance to make the playoffs. If they beat Washington (4-9), their chances will increase to 51 percent.
