On Sunday, there were a couple of former Stanford Cardinal facing off in Super Bowl LVIII, and it was Justin Reid and the Kansas City Chiefs who outdueled Christian McCaffrey and the San Francisco 49ers.
The Chiefs went on to outscore San Francisco 22-12 in the fourth quarter and overtime, and shut down the 49ers offense with authority. Reid had himself a game, as en route to winning his second Super Bowl, he racked up nine total tackles and 0.5 a sack.
The Chiefs will now have a chance to be the first team to ever three-peat, and being that they won with a subpar offensive line and receiver corps, things could get worrisome for the rest of the NFL.
