Minor-league report: German debuts as Bradenton wins 11th straight
Vincent Carchietta-USA TODAY Sports

A look at Tuesday’s minor-league action within the Pirates' system ...

INDIANAPOLIS (17-19) was postponed against Toledo because of rain. The teams will play a double header of seven-inning games Thursday beginning at 11:05 a.m.

ALTOONA (8-26) lost at Akron, 2-1. The RubberDucks' Milan Tolentino hit a walk-off RBI single off of Cameron Junker to cap a two-run ninth for the hosts. Altoona's lone run came from a Kervin Pichardo home run in the third inning.

The loss spoils a performance from Braxton Ashcraft on the mound. The Curve starter struck out a career-high 10 batters in seven scoreless innings. He allowed four hits and walked one while throwing 85 pitches and 60 strikes.

GREENSBORO (19-14) won at Hickory, 4-2. P.J. Hilson had an RBI single in the second Hilson and Hudson Head homered for the Grasshoppers in the fourth. Termarr Johnson had an RBI double in the ninth.

Dominic Perachi struck out nine, allowed a hit, and walked one in four scoreless innings of relief. Charles McAdoo collected a pair of hits including a double.

BRADENTON (16-18) won at Tampa, 4-3, for its 11th win in a row. Domingo German allowed a run on three hits, one of them a solo homer, while striking out four and walking three in four innings.

German signed a minor-league deal in March after starting 19 games with the Yankees last season. He threw the most-recent perfect game in major-league history June 28 at Oakland. He was placed on administrative leave in September while with the Yankees amid allegations of domestic abuse.

The Marauders scored four runs in the fourth inning. Omar Alfonzo, the reigning Florida State League player of the week, singled in a run and Solomon Maguire hit a three-run homer in the inning.
